NIRF Rankings: Ministry for Human Resource Development (HRD), Government of India released the India Rankings 2017 on 3rd April 2017 in New Delhi. These Rankings known as National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) are Rankings of Higher Educational Institutions for Performance across the country. Started last year, this year too, the Ministry has ​ranked the top universities, best management, engineering and pharmacy colleges.
MITSOT has been featured amongst the TOP 50 Institutes in Management category under the NIRF 2017.
This achievement highlights MITSOT’s strong commitment to continue its focus on core tenets of providing academic excellence, research and industry outreach.

MITSOT-TSSC MOU: MIT Pune’s MIT School of Telecom Management (MITSOT) Pune has signed an MoU with NSDC’s Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC)- a Government of India Undertaking to launch unique programs for the first time in India. This is the First kind of it’s initiative with the academic Institution across the country.    These programs are in the form of short term courses including Territory Sales Manager (Prepaid), Sales Executive (Broadband) and Territory Sales Manager (Broadband). The duration of these courses will be in the range of 3-6 months and will start from January 2014 onwards.

CISCO Local Academy: Right from the first year of it's inception in 2007, MITSOT has a formal academic tie up with CISCO in the form of "CISCO Local Academy" Agreement. MITSOT has initiated to offer CISCO Certification programme as a part of it's PGDM. MITSOT received Best Local Academy Award in CISCO - SAARC Conference at Bangaluru in June 2008 

Oracle Work Force Development programme: MITSOT has a formal academic tie-up with Oracle University in the form of “Oracle Workforce Development Programme (WDP) Agreement” since 2007.
MITSOT has initiated to offer Oracle Certification Programmes as a part of its PGDM, under the WDP Membership. The courses presently being offered lead to an Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) Certification from Oracle under the WDP Membership Program.

MITSOT-BSNL Tie-up: It has been mutually agreed by BSNL to train our PGDM Students on telecom awareness. This interface will definitely be helpful for the society in general and Telecom Industry in particular.
